Arthur Hanson

Arthur M. Hanson, 94, of Hatton, ND passed away Friday, November 13, 2015 at Hatton Prairie Village in Hatton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 1:00p.m at Hatton Prairie Village Chapel in Hatton. A visitation will be held from 12:00p.m until the time of the service at the nursing home.

Arthur was born February 27, 1921 in Hatton, ND to Helmer and Millie (Swanson) Hanson. He grew up in Hatton and graduated from Hatton High School. After school, Arthur began farming and he continued to farm the rest of his life. On October 28, 1958, Arthur married Donna Martindale at Bathgate, ND. In his younger years, Art got his pilot's license and enjoyed flying his own plane. He played baseball during his summers with the Hatton Viking baseball team. Art was an avid fisherman, taking the occasional fishing trip to Canada and of course to Golden Lake. Arthur was a member of the Washington Prairie Church and St. John Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Donna; daughters, Ellen Hanson and Laurel Hanson, both of Denver, CO.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brother, Howard Hanson; and sisters: Eldora Crane and Opal Larson.
