Carol B. Slettebak

Carol Bernice Gilbertson was born July 11, 1935, the daughter of Sever and Clara (Larson) Gilbertson in Adler Township, Nelson County, ND. Carol graduated from Petersburg High School. She married Oris A. Slettebak on October 30, 1955 at Lom Church, Niagara, ND. They lived and farmed in the Petersburg area. She work several jobs until 1992, when she moved to Northwood, where she worked at Engen's Market and Agvise.
Carol spent much of her time with her family and her church family. She enjoyed quilting and Bible studies with the ladies at Ebenezer Lutheran. Her favorite past time was having coffee at Northwood Floral.
She is survived by two sons: Scott (Terry), Petersburg, and Orin (Darlene), Michigan, ND; five daughters: Carla (Dean) Venske, Northwood, ND, Tami (Scott) Adolphsen, Breezy Point, MN, Vicki (Dennis) Best, Fordville, ND, Shelli (Wade) Crowe, Alexandria, MN, and DeAnn (Tim) Buckhouse, Barnsville, MN; 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; two sisters: June (Ralph) Jenson, Reynolds, ND, and Jean Kruger, Wales, ND; sister-in-law, Verdell Gilbertson, Niagara, ND; brother-in-law, James (Mary Ann) Slettebak, Yuma, AZ, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oris, her parents, a grandson Shawn Slettebak; two brothers, Glenn and Dale Gilbertson; three brother-in-laws, Frank Kruger, Donald and Raymond Slettebak, and one sister-in-law, Ruth DelGrande.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 10:30am at Ebenezer Free Lutheran Church in Northwood, ND. Visitation will be held Friday, March 30, 2012 from 5:00-7:00pm with a 7:00pm prayer service at Ebenezer Free Lutheran Church in Northwood, ND.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Ebenezer Free Lutheran Church, Northwood.
