Connie Thorson

Connie Thorson, 56, of Fargo, ND passed away Friday, September 14, 2018 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo surrounded by her family. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September, 19, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Northwood Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northwood. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Connie Ellen Ness was born February 16, 1962 in Northwood, ND to Carrol (Kelly) and A. Eunice (Johnson) Ness. She grew up in Northwood and graduated from Northwood High School in 1980. Connie attended Valley City State University and North Dakota State College of Science, graduating with a legal secretary degree.

On August 31, 1985, Connie married Tracy Thorson in Northwood. They lived in Mandan, ND before moving to Fargo. Connie enjoyed arts and crafts, decorating, music and singing, and cooking for others. She could light up a room with her laugh and smile, witty and funny -always cracking jokes making others laugh. She loved playing games with her mother, sisters and children. Family time was spent grazing in the kitchen around the game table with constant laughs. Connie loved going to garage sales and pilfering through to find the next gem to add to her house. She was very good at making her house a home for anyone to visit.

Survivors include her children: Ryan, Katie, Megan and Ella Thorson, all of Fargo, ND; sisters: Brenda (Terry) Korsgarden, Grand Forks, ND; Cathy Mastrud, Bismarck, ND; Connie is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceding her in death were her parents and brother-in-law, Butch Mastrud.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the trust of Ella and Megan Thorson.
