Debra Poitra

Debra Poitra, 65, of Northwood, ND, passed away December 13, 2016. Her children were by her side when she peacefully drifted off to be with the Lord. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Northwood Deaconess Health Center Dining Room Chapel. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the nursing home.

Debra was born May 11, 1951 in Rolette, ND. She attended Rolette High School and continued her education at Lake Region Junior College/UND, graduating with an LPN degree in nursing. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She especially loved having her grandchildren around her.

Survivors include her children, Bette (Peter) Groth and Damen (Stephanie) Kjervestad; grandchildren: Cole Malo, Xavier and Gabriel Groth, and Chase, Braden, and Mason Kjervestad; brothers: Terry (Kathy) Martinson and Robyn Martinson;

Preceding her in death was her mother, Bette Vrem; step-father, Eugene Martinson; father, Rocky Christopher, and sister, Pam Carpenter.
