Delores Phelps

Delores Marie Phelps, 82, of Northwood, ND passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Northwood Deaconess Health Center in Northwood. A private family service will be held.
Delores was born on January 12, 1934 in Sauk Rapids, MN to August and Anna (Burski) Reberg. She attended elementary at Trinity Lutheran School and graduated from Sauk Rapids High School in 1951. From there, she moved to Minneapolis, MN where she attended secretarial school and then worked for a variety of companies as an Administrative Assistant. She married George Phelps in 1969 and had twins, Amy G and Jay G. After retiring, Delores moved to Rice Lake, Wisconsin where she lived for 15 years. In 2011, Delores moved to Northwood, ND to be closer to her daughter Amy and granddaughters Ivy and Talia. She loved to spend time with her girls; singing, playing, reading and having tea parties. Delores was quick witted and adventurous. She enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking and especially baking treats for her family.
Delores is survived by daughter, Amy (Darren) Sheggerud of Northwood, a son, Jay Phelps of Coppell, Texas, and granddaughters, Ivy and Talia Sheggerud of Northwood, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Clara, Shirley, Bernice, Joann and Betty; and one brother, Julius.
