Dennis was  born in Hatton, ND June 21,1939 to parents Christain and Clara (Gilberts) Cordahl. His childhood was very active!  Playing baseball and participating in other various adventures, with his four brothers and neighborhood friends. As he got older, he worked odd jobs to help the family! Times were tough back in those days. Dennis attended School at Hatton Public School where he made many lifelong friends. When Dennis was 18 he enlisted in the Navy and served on the USS Whetstone.  After serving in the Navy, he married the love of his life, Kathleen Marie Anderson. They had 3 children, Christi, Jeanne and Kelly.  He was a very devoted husband and father. Dennis worked for the phone company, Hatton Co-op Oil and a Civilian in the Electrical Shop at the Grand Forks Air Force Base. After retirement he worked several years at Hatton Ford. Dennis was very proud and devoted to his grandchildren and great grandchildren!  He attended most school programs, community events, baseball and t-ball games, football games and anything else his grandchildren and great grandchildren involved in!  Dennis was there with a smile and a big chest! He loved them all and was so proud of them!  Dennis is well known for his love of the Minnesota Twins and baseball.  He rarely missed a game!  In the summertime he would sit out at the picnic table and listen on the radio!  He was also a huge Vikings fan. He instilled his love of the Twins and the Vikings on his children and grandchildren.  That Legacy will carry on for Generations! Dennis loved the outdoors and spent a lot of time fishing, working on his lawn, gardening and driving around on his golf cart visiting people around the neighborhood! Always a smile and a wave! If He wasn't in the golf cart he was in one of his other vehicles. Everyone in town saw him virtually on a daily basis! Dennis was a kind, giving and caring man helping out anyone at any time if he was able! He truly loved his children his
grandchildren and his community! He will be so missed by us all! He taught his grandchildren and great-grandchildren so many valuable lessons and skills!

Dennis is survived by his children: Christi (Jerry) Foss, Finley, ND; Jeanne, Hatton, ND; and Kelly, Mayville, ND; brothers: Russel, Ray, and Clifton; grandchildren: Trenton and Taylor Foss, Tanner Cordahl and Tyler, Chloe and Jovie Cordahl; great grandchildren: Brooklyn, Maddie Cheston, Remi, Holten and Winsley Foss. Brycen, Breckyn, and Parkerlyn Cordahl; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dennis was preceded in death by his wife, parents, siblings Cecil, Larry, and Gerleen and granddaughter Melissa.

The family suggests if you have any Minnesota Vikings or Minnesota Twins gear please feel free to wear it the day of the service. Dennis would love that and so would his family. He was a casual, sports loving man.
