Dennis "Toby" Thompson

Dennis “Toby” Thompson, 73, of Hatton, ND, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014 at his home in Hatton. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 3:00p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Hatton. A visitation will be held one hour before the time of the service at the church.

Toby was born May 29, 1940 at Hatton, ND to Earl and Lila (Enger) Thompson. He grew up in Hatton and attended Hatton Public School. Toby was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Hatton. He worked for the Grand Forks Park Board and various jobs around Hatton. Toby enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing bingo, watching TV, and visiting with people.

Survivors include his siblings: Elnor Thompson, Big Lake, MN, Charlotte (Arden) Johnson, Hatton, ND, Lola (Hank) Thompson, Hatton, ND, Earl Jr (Mary) Thompson, Grand Forks, ND, Steve Thompson, Bismarck, ND, and Dione (Guy) Christensen, Fargo, ND; Toby is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a baby sister and a baby brother.
