Doris Tveten, 85, a lifelong resident of Hatton, North Dakota died, Friday, May 29, 2009 at Hatton Prairie Village.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at the Hatton Prairie Village Chapel in Hatton with burial in St. John Cemetery in Hatton.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Doris was born December 12, 1923, the 12th child born to Sigvart and Ida (Thorstad) Mastrud. On May 15, 1947 she was united in marriage to Roy Tveten. They made their home in Hatton and over the years she worked for several business establishments, such as Roy's Café, Naastad Brothers, Hatton Bakery and Thompson's Dry Goods.
Her greatest love was her family of brothers and sisters, her three daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved her hand stitching and bingo.
Doris is survived by her daughters, Darlene (Jesse) Gensrich of Toledo, Washington, Diane Tveten of St. Paul, Minnesota and Debbie Swenson of West Fargo, North Dakota; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; brothers, Almer, Edwin, Selmer, Orphy, and Conrad and sisters, Alice, Inga, Myrtle, Francis, Selma and Hazel.
The Bilden Funeral Home of Hatton is assisting the family with arrangements.
