Edna Olson

EDNA OLSON, 94, formerly of Grafton, ND passed away Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the Deaconess Health Center at Northwood, ND.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at ll:00 A.M. in the St Marks Lutheran Church, Grand Forks, ND with visitation l hour before services at the church. The interment will be in the East Adams Cemetery near Adams, ND at 3:00 P.M..

Edna Hilde was born February 21, l9l6 in Adams, ND, daughter of Carl and Ellen (Longren) Hilde. She graduated from Adams High School in l934 and attended Beauty School in l935. She had her own Beauty Shop for a number of years. She married Louis Olson on December 31, l939 at Adams, ND. They had three children. The couple lived in Adams until l942 when they moved to Bremerton, WA where they lived until l945. They lived in Northwood, ND until l965 when they moved to Grafton. Louis passed away on July 28, l975. In Grafton she worked for St. Joe's Hospital and Grafton Public Schools. She also worked 23 years at Grafton Drug. In retirement she did volunteer work at Grafton Lutheran and the Second Time Around Thrift Store.

She is survived by son Larry (Linda) Olson, Langdon, ND daughters Evelyn (Duane) Rossett, Barnesville, MN and Jane (Mark) Humble, Grand Forks, ND 6 grandchildren Christopher (Meagan) Olson, Grand Forks, Stacey (Brian) Steeves, Wahpeton, ND Stephanie (Andrew) Specht, Hawley, MN, Jesse Ridl, Grand Forks, Kathren Humble at home, Aaron (LeAnn) Humble, Grand Forks, 7 Great Grandchildren Samantha Specht, Gabriel Specht, Isaiah Specht, Gabriella Olson, Jocelynn Olson, McKenna Steeves and Parker Steeves, sisters-in-law Roma Olson, Miles City, MT, Lilly Bjorg, Adams, ND Gloria Canton, Aloha, OR, Helen Fredrickson, Stanton, CA

She was preceded in death by her husband, 4 sisters, 1 brother, 4 brothers-in-law, 1 sister-in-law, grandson Adam Olson, sisters and brothers-in-law Merna and Cliff Natvig, Lillian and Cal Ellingson, Clarice and Jerry Kieszling, brother and sister-in-law Cliff and Elaine Hilde, and sister Alda.
