Ernest Brorby

Ernest Arvin Brorby, 93 of Northwood, ND passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Northwood Deaconess Health Center in Northwood. A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 2:00p.m. at the Northwood Deaconess Health Center Dining Room Chapel in Northwood. A visitation will be held from 1:00p.m. until the time of the service at the nursing home.

Ernest was born September 14, 1922 to Edwin and Anna (Hjartaas) Brorby. In 1942, Ernest married Elayne Wallin. He served in the United States Army during World War II from 1943 - 1945. In 1963, Ernest married Elvina Julin (Olsen).
Ernest worked at Krabbenhofts Chevrolet Dealership in Northwood for 32 years. He was a member of the Northwood American Legion for 60 years.

Survivors include his daughters: Bonnie (Gary) Olson and DiAnna (Dave) Thingelstad; son, Arvin (Coleen) Brorby; step-children: Beverly Sorholus, Bruce Julin, Linda Morris, and LuAnn (Rich) Pelshaw; sister, Leona (Frank) Theis; Ernest is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, wives,
daughters: Trudy Vondra, Karen Chandler, and an infant daughter; grandson, David Thingelstad Jr. and an infant grandson.
