Esther Soderblom

Esther M. Soderblom, 86 of Hatton, North Dakota passed away Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the Hatton Prairie Village in Hatton.

Funeral sevices will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at Hatton Prairie Village Chapel in Hatton.

Visitation there for one hour before the time of service. Burial in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Sharon, ND.


Esther Myrtle Olvidia was born June 21, 1924 at Sharon, ND to Ole and Anna (Oakland) Berge. On July 4, 1942, she married Nels Soderblom. Together they had one daughter, Virgina "Ginny". Esther spent most of her life in the Sharon community. She enjoyed gardening, writing letters, and visiting with family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Ginny (Ron) Leon, Fargo, ND; grandchildren: Michelle (Ken) Seltvedt, Harvey, ND, Timothy and Todd Leon, Fargo, great grandchildren, Brandon and Breanna Seibel; great grandson, Christopher Schroeder and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nels and sisters: Clara Stordahl, Thelma Kleven, and Hannah Anderson.


Clergy: Pastor Dean Lyste.

Casket Bearers: Michelle Seltvedt, Timothy Leon, Todd Leon, Brandon Seibel, Breanna Seibel, Gary Stordahl, and Robert Torkelson.
