Eunice G. Soliah, 82, of Mayville, North Dakota formerly of rural Hatton, North Dakota died Monday, June 7, 2010 at Union Hospital in Mayville.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, June 15, 2010 in the Hatton Prairie Village Chapel in Hatton with burial in Bethany Lutheran Cemetery of rural Hatton.
Visitation will be in the Hatton Prairie Village Chapel on Monday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm with a 7:00 pm Prayer Service and one hour prior to services.
Eunice Gladys Wznick was born September 26, 1927 at St. Luke's Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota the daughter of Stanz and Inez (Strochein) Wznick. She was raised in Gill Township, rural Wheatland, North Dakota where she attended country school. In her early adult years she lived in Fargo working various jobs. On June 1, 1953 she was united in marriage to Maurice Soliah at Goshen Moravian Church of rural Durbin, North Dakota. Eunice commented many times over the years that she and Maurice had a "marriage made in heaven". They established their home in rural Hatton, North Dakota where they farmed and raised their two children. For over twenty years they traveled to Mesa, Arizona and enjoyed their winter home. In 2005 they moved to Mayville.
Eunice was a member of Zoar Free Lutheran Chruch in Hatton where she was active in Ladies Aid, Women's Circles and taught Sunday School for many years. She also was active in various community activities.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of 57 years, Maurice; children, Marvin Soliah of Wichita, Kansas and LuAnn Soliah of Waco, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Elwood Wznick and three infant siblings.
The Bilden Funeral Home of Hatton is assisting the family with arrangements.
