Gordon Walswick

Gordon (Gordy) Walswick, 64, of Hatton, ND passed away Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Northwood Deaconess Health Center in Northwood. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Beaver Creek Lutheran Church, rural Hatton, ND. A visitation will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2019 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a 6:00 p.m. prayer service at the Hatton Prairie Village Nursing Home Chapel.

Gordon Walswick was born August 8, 1955 at Northwood, ND, the son of Gilman and Judith (Hanson) Walswick. He was baptized and confirmed at Beaver Creek Lutheran Church.

What can you say about Gordy? He was a very special guy who brought so much joy and laughter to everyone. With his special needs, whoever he touched, they went away a better person. He loved to play cards, play his guitar, which he wasn’t very good at but who cares. He read the paper upside down, liked doing puzzles and coloring. His last years were spent at Hatton Prairie Village, which were great and he was well taken care of.

Gordy is survived by his three sisters and a brother: Joan Dronen, Fargo, ND; Gerald (Diane) Walswick, Finley, ND; June Foss, Hatton, ND; Janet (Allan) Hanson, Devils Lake, ND; numerous nieces and nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews; uncle, Gaylor (Dorothy), California;

Preceding him in death were his mom and dad, two brothers-in-law, Jim Foss and Vernal Dronen; sister-in-law, Barbara Walswick, and great-great nephew, Kingston Lara.
