Harris Aftret

Harris Aftret, 94, of Northwood, ND, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Northwood Deaconess Health Center in Northwood. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Ebenezer Free Lutheran Church in Northwood. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be in the Northwood Cemetery.

Harris Aftret was born March 15, 1929, in Northwood, ND, to Ingman and Helen (Lee) Aftret. He grew up in the Northwood area and attended country school in Lind Township. He was confirmed at Ebenezer Free Lutheran Church.  Harris enjoyed working on the farm and he worked on a farm for 40+ years. Harris also enjoyed his pet cats.

Survivors include his sister, Ila Dahlen, Northwood, ND; nephews, Mike (Gwen) Dahlen and Mark (Edie) Dahlen; nieces, Paula Dahlen and Deb Prazak.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
