Helen Woken

Helen Woken, 80, of Northwood, ND passed away Thursday, April 09, 2015 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND. A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 4:00p.m. at Northwood Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northwood. A visitation will be held from 2:30p.m. until the time of the service at the church.
Helen Ostlie was born August 30, 1934 in Northwood, ND to Howard and Olga (Bye) Ostlie. She grew up in Northwood and graduated from Northwood High School in 1952. On June 19, 1954, Helen married Harlan Woken in Northwood. She worked as a clerk at various stores in Northwood.
Survivors include her children: Terry (Tim) Lee, Hillsboro, ND, Barb (Tim) Kraft), Casselton, ND, Scott (Kathy) Woken, Fargo, ND; grandchildren: Carissa (Scott) Olsen, Brenna (Ryan) Opdahl, Travis (Kristi) Kraft, Calvin (Brooke) Kraft, Taylor Kraft, Alex Woken; great-grandchildren: Riley, Madison, Kennedy and Harper Olsen; sister-in-law, Ingrid Woken; brother-in-law, Jerry Engen. Helen is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband Harlan, parents, and two sisters: Jean and Anna Mae.
