Isabel Hanson

Isabel Hanson, 83, of West Fargo, ND, formerly of Hatton, ND, died Sunday March 22, 2015 after a brief illness. She passed on to her eternal reward surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 2:00pm at St. John Lutheran Church in Hatton. A visitation will be held Friday, March 27, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00pm with a 7:00pm prayer service at the church

Born June 14, 1931 in Asingan, Pangasinan, Philippines, Isabel dela Cruz was the daughter of Mariano and Teodora dela Cruz. She met the love of her life, Carl N. Hanson while he was serving in the Army engineers during WWII. They were married in the Philippines on January 7, 1950, and after a brief stay they returned to Mr. Hanson's home near Buxton, ND.

A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her church family at St John Lutheran Church in Hatton was an important part of her life, and she immersed herself in many activities offered there.

Isabel is survived by her five children: Beverly (Richard) Fuller of Fargo, ND; Chuck (LaRae) Hanson of Greenbrier, TN; Daryl (Tina) Hanson of Fargo, ND; Alan (Debbie) Hanson of Lake St Louis, MO; and Eric (Karen) Hanson of West Fargo, ND. Additionally, she is survived by 10 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, and grandson, Cameron Hanson.
