Judith Walswick

Judith Walswick, 101, of Hatton, ND passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Hatton Prairie Village in Hatton. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at Beaver Creek Lutheran Church, rural Hatton. A prayer service will be held Friday, June 30, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. with visiting time to follow until 7:00 p.m. at the Bilden Funeral Home in Northwood, ND.

Judith was born May 21, 1916 to Hagbart and Hilda (Ryan) Hanson on a farm near Sharon, ND. On March 6, 1937, she married Gilman Walswick in Northwood with Pastor Njaa officiating. Judith was active in her church at Beaver Creek, doing quilting, ladies aid and always serving for something. She loved being a farm wife, milking the cows, picking up sticks and she was a good cook.

Survivors include her children: Joan Dronen, Fargo, ND; Gerald (Diane) Walswick, Finley, ND; June (James) Foss, Hatton, ND; Janet (Allan) Hanson, Devils Lake, ND; and Gordon Walswick, a resident of the nursing home. 15 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, sister, Atha Holmen; brother, Joe Hanson; step-brother, Einer Tweten; son-in-law, Vernal Dronen; daughter-in-law, Barbara Walswick; and one great-great-grandchild, Kingston Lara.
