June Bye

June Myrtle Bye, 93, of Northwood, ND, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017 at the Northwood Health Center, surrounded by her family and now joins her heavenly family. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Community Bible Church in Northwood. A visitation will be held Friday, November 3, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the church.

June Jorde was born on January 15, 1924 to Gertie and Godtfred Jorde at their rural home in Mekinock, ND. She was baptized at the Ness Lutheran Church on July 13th, 1924 with her twin sister at her side. She attended school in rural Mekinock. June told the story of how her "Pa" would sometimes bring the kids to school in the wagon/sleigh but remembers her mother preparing baked potatoes in the morning which the children would carry to school to keep their hands warm.

She was involved with her church and loved studying the bible. Faith, family and friends were the center of her life. She was extremely proud of her children and their accomplishments. She loved her grandchildren and attending their activities.
June was a loyal employee at the McVille Friendship manor for 20 plus years. She was a true missionary to the residents as she often prayed with them. We remember her sitting beside residents who didn't have family as they made their way home to the Lord.
Her retirement years were spent in Northwood where she resided until her death.

She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her sister, Eileen (Lloyd) Iverson; Six Children: Allen (Julie) Jorde, Wayne (Vangie) Jorde, Gail (Ron) Dockter, Donavon (Marie) Bye, Randy Bye, and JoAnne (Special Friend Joey) Davis.

23 Grandchildren; Jacinth Berthold, Renae (Wes) Slade, Brooks Dockter, Angela (Steve) Bagan, Justin (special Friend Lisa) Jorde, Joshua Jorde, Angela (Brian) Muri, Wendy (Brandon) Stevenson, Kristin (Jeremiah) Higdem, Laura Jorde, Jason (Laura) Bye, Jessica (Dean) Longhurst, Dustin Bye, William Bye, David Bye, Alyssa Bye, Shawn Bye, Daniel Bye, Jacob Bye, Nicholas (special friend Sarah) Davis, Matthew (Michelle) Davis, Sara (Kevin) Gieseke, Kevin (Special friend Shelby) Davis.

24 Great-Grandchildren: Skylar Berthold, Damon Berthold, ShayLynn Berthold, Jaztin Higdem, Ayla Gieseke, Sawyer Gieseke, Evy Davis, Bryson Davis, Hayden Davis, Cole Bye, Lucas Bye, Alex Slade, Amanda Slade, Ashley (Jordan) Tescher, Addison Jorde, Brady (Carly) Thorson, Alyssa Thorson, Cassidy Thorson, Livia Bagan, Ayrlynn Salazar, and Marissa Salazar.

6 Great-Great-Grandchildren: Harper Tescher, Blake Slade, Zayden Slade, Aralynn Slade, Delysia Slade, ElijahKing Sims and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, twin sister, Junet; Sisters: Ivy Bratlie, Leona Hensrud, Mae Hendrickson, Bernice Agotness; brothers: Oren Jorde, Vernon Jorde, Elwood Jorde; Daughter-in-law, Pamela Bye' and Great-Granddaughter, Ava Kay Jorde.
