Keith Nelson

Keith Nelson, 87, of Hatton, ND passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Hatton Prairie Village in Hatton. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Hatton. A visitation will be held Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a 6:00 p.m. prayer service at the Hatton Prairie Village Chapel in Hatton.

Keith was born September 20, 1930 in Mayville, ND to Henry and Pearl (Tolan) Nelson. He grew up in the Hatton area and graduated from Hatton High School. On September 10, 1954, Keith married Arlene Domier. Keith farmed and showed cattle most of his life. He worked for various farmers around the area and at Western Potato in Grand Forks. He was known for being an all-around handyman. Keith enjoyed visiting with friends and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his children: Angie (Bob) Mahlum, Kenmare, ND; Kevin Nelson, Mayville, ND; Mike Nelson, Mayville, ND; Shelly (Tom Klunchoo) Proell, Paddock Lake, WI; grandchildren: Kyle, Shane, Megan, Ashley, Michaela, Kendra, Cody, and Rosse; great-grandchildren: Adelyn, Kynslee, Kamrynn, and Karsynn; sisters: Dela Tufte and Donna Myers, both of Northwood, ND; brother, Darrell Nelson, Santa Paula, CA; Keith is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, wife, Arlene; and siblings: Helen, Patty, Muriel, Cathy, Richard and Howard.
