Margaret Strande

Margaret Strande, 86, of Bloomington, MN and formerly of Northwood, ND, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at the Martin Luther Campus Nursing Home in Bloomington, ND. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 10:00am at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Northwood, ND. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00pm with a prayer service at 7:00pm at the Bilden Funeral Home in Northwood.
Margaret E. Strande was born January 5, 1927 at Northwood, North Dakota, the daughter of Erick Hagen and Magna (Hegre, Rime) Hagen. Margaret grew up on the family farm in Logan Center Township and was baptized and confirmed at West Union Church, rural Northwood. She attended Logan Center school until both her parents passed away, finishing her education in Northwood. She married Iver T. Strande in Northwood on July 9th, 1946. The couple made their home on the family farm in Logan Center Township, until they retired in 1982 and moved to Northwood. She was an active partner with Iver on the family farm; a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church where she was active as a Sunday school teacher and in Ladies Aide; a North Dakota Pioneer daughter; and a member of the Logan Center Homemakers Club. She entered into rest on June 11, 2013 at the Martin Luther Campus in Bloomington, Minnesota.
She is survived by her children: Linda (Henry) Hellyer of Grand Forks, N.D., Cecil (Karen) Strande of Stillwater, OK., Susan (Thomas) Haggerty of Bloomington, MN, and Steven (Jean) Strande of Golden Valley, MN.; Grandchildren: Paula (Philip) Schroeder, George (Rachel) Hellyer, Sarah Hellyer, Christopher (Marianne) Strande, Todd Strande, Thea (Justin) Matlock, Michael (Linae) Haggerty, Jonathan Strande, Julia Strande, Joseph Strande; Great Grandchildren: Kjersten Storey, Teaunna Storey, Caleb Schroeder, Mickayla Hellyer, Emily Hellyer, Grant Haggerty, Reese Haggerty, Emily Strande; and niece Beatrice Hilliard and many other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and Arvey, Duane, & Blenda Rime.
