Marie Fisher

Marie Fisher, 93, of Northwood, ND passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Northwood Deaconess Health Center in Northwood. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 10, 2015 at 2:30pm at the Northwood Deaconess Health Center Dining Room Chapel.
Marie Ann Lorch was born January 30, 1922 at rural Hillsboro, ND. She was the oldest of five children, born to Albert and Henrietta (Stern) Lorch. Marie attended country school through eighth grade and attended Hillsboro High School, graduating with the Class of 1939.
On July 20, 1941, Marie married Carl Fisher at Moorhead, MN. They made their home in Grandin, ND, later moving to Hillsboro. She was employed there at Pederson's Produce. They moved to Northwood, ND, where she was employed as a bookkeeper with Uglem-Ness Implement Company for many years. She also worked at Johnson's Clothing Store and at the Northwood Café. Marie was a seamstress all of her adult life. In May of 2003, Marie entered into Northwood Deaconess Health Center.
Survivors include her son, Edward, Northwood, ND; brother, Robert Lorch, Hillsboro, ND; sister, Gladys Odegaard, Cooperstown, ND. Marie is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband, parents, and two sisters: Florence Brace and Dorothy Wick.
