Marie Pederson

Marie J. Pederson, 90, of Hatton, ND and formerly of Finley, ND passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at Hatton Prairie Village. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 23, 2011, at 1:30 p.m. at the Finley Lutheran Church, Finley, ND. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 22nd from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the Bilden Funeral Home, Northwood, ND. Burial in the Finley Cemetery.
Marie Johanna was born April 8, 1921, near Hatton, ND to John and Olga (Bjerke) Bye. She grew up in the Hatton area and graduated from Hatton High School.
On July 2, 1940, she married Norman Pederson at the parsonage in Hatton. After their marriage, they farmed in Golden Lake Township until their retirement in 1982, when they moved into Finley. Norman passed away on April 10, 1996. In 2001, she moved to Hatton. Marie enjoyed quilting, cooking, and playing cards.
Survivors include her children: Orella (Curtis) Olson, Audubon, MN, Rick (Darlene) Pederson, Grand Forks, ND, Marilyn (Rick) Strand, Finley, and Micheal (Susie) Pederson, Goodyear, AZ; daughter-in-law, Paige Pederson, Mandan, ND; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; brother: Orvis (Marilyn) Bye, Hatton; sisters, Deloris (Robert) Kringlen, Larimore, ND and Francis (Reuben) Braaten, Mayville, ND; sisters-in-law: Donna Bye and Ruby Bye, Hatton; and brother-in-law, Joe (Dagny) Pederson, West Fargo, ND.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; son, Norris; and brothers: Arnold, Alfred, and Clarence.

Music: Frieda Baldwin, Organist and Bobbi Ostrom, Soloist.
Casket Bearers: All of Marie's Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
