Marilyn Olson

Marilyn Olson, 78, of Hatton, ND passed away on Monday, July 30, 2012, at Manor Care, Fargo, ND. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 4, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. John Lutheran Church, Hatton, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Little Forks Lutheran Cemetery, Hatton.
Marilyn Gjellereit was born August 30, 1933, near Hatton to Oscar and Mildred (Berg) Gjellereit. She grew up in the Hatton area and graduated from Portland High School.
On June 2, 1952, she married Harris Olson at Little Forks Lutheran Church, rural Hatton. After their marriage they lived in Hatton. For 47 years she worked at Hatton Prairie Village. She enjoyed sewing, reading, playing bingo, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Harris; children: Bruce (Lorelle) Olson, West Fargo, ND, Dwight Olson, Maricopa, AZ, and Sherri (Greg) Sandvig, Fargo, ND; grandchildren: Ryan (Amy)Olson and Jason (Tiffany) Olson; Kristen Olson; Lindsey (Chris) Gust and Danny (Katie) Sandvig; great-grandchildren: Hanna and Ava Olson; and Kyla Olson; siblings: Val Peterson and Orrin Johnson.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
