Marjorie Aaland

Marjorie Aaland, 80, of Northwood, ND passed away Monday, March 10, 2014 at Northwood Deaconess Health Center in Northwood. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 2:00p.m. at Northwood Evangelical Lutheran Church, Northwood. A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 7:00 to 8:00p.m. with a 8:00p.m. prayer service at the Northwood Deaconess Health Center Dining Room Chapel.
Marjorie Thingelstad was born May 29, 1933 in Northwood, ND to Noel and Esther (Erickson) Thingelstad. She grew up and attended school in Northwood. On November 20, 1953, Marjorie married Otto Aaland in Northwood. Marjorie loved music, gardening, baking, and was the ultimate hostess. Her grandkids and family were her life.
Survivors include her husband, Otto, Hatton, ND; Daughters: Deborah (Randy) Trostad, McVille, ND, Mary Aaland (Richard E. Quinn, deceased), Fargo, ND, Laurie (Mark) Krotz, Mesa, AZ; Son: David (Deb) Aaland, Hatton, ND; Grandchildren: Jeremy (Amber) Trostad, Cassondra (Travis) Schock, Sarah (Marco Munoz) Haggerty, Rebecca (Peter) Graham, Elizabeth (Mike) Froelich, Zach Peterson, John (Bridget) Aaland, Alyssa Aaland, Allison Aaland; Great-Grandchildren: Kenedy and Brinley Trostad, Brandi and Hunter Schock, Tristan Froelich; Siblings: Gerald (Ruth) Thingelstad, Northwood, Rosalie Dobson, Vista, CA. Marjorie is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, and granddaughter, Angela Aaland.
