Thore Ulberg

Thore Gene Ulberg, 84, of Northwood, ND passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Beaver Creek Lutheran Church, rural Hatton, ND. A visitation will be held Monday, Augusts 20, 2018 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the Bilden-Askew Funeral Home in Northwood.

Thore G. Ulberg was born April 1, 1934 to Thore and Gladys Ulberg. He was raised on a farm southwest of Northwood. Thore attended country school and then graduated from Northwood High School in 1952. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1953 – 1955. He graduated from NDSU with a degree in Agricultural Engineering. On September 15, 1962, he married Annette Maurseth at Bethania Lutheran Church. Thore farmed until his retirement in 1996.

Thore enjoyed golfing with his friends, restoring and driving Model A cars and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Annette; children: Daneen (Kent) Braaten, Burnsville, MN; Susan (Todd) Peterson, Alexandria, MN; and Mark Ulberg, Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Jonah and Logan; brother, Carlyle Ulberg, Naples, FL;

Preceding him in death were his parents.
