Verna Brunsvold

Verna F. Brunsvold, 95, of Hatton, ND passed away Friday, January 29, 2016 at Hatton Prairie Village in Hatton. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 2:00p.m. at the Hatton Prairie Village Chapel in Hatton. A visitation will be held one hour before to the time of the service at the nursing home.

Verna was born December 6, 1920 in Newberg Township to Oscar and Anna (Haugen) Berg. She grew up on a farm west of Hatton. On April 2, 1943, Verna married Ray Brunsvold in Northwood, ND. Ray passed away September 30, 1984. Verna worked several years at Hatton Prairie Village. She was a resident at Hatton Prairie Village for six years.

Survivors include her sons: Gary (Florence) Brunsvold and Dwight (Gayle) Brunsvold; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Amy Chrickner; sister-in-law, Shirley Berg;

Preceding her in death was her husband, Ray Brunsvold; parents, Oscar and Anna Berg; siblings: Harriet (Clarence) Norgaard, Obert (Mabel) Berg, Thelmer (Luella) Berg, Ernest (Selma) Berg, Glenn (Sybil) Berg, Geneva (James) Tronson, Violet Palmer, Jerome Berg, and Roy (Bobbie) Berg; brother-in-law, John Chrickner.
