Wanda Smarz, 51, of Dallas, TX, passed away December 13, 2014, at her home in Dallas after a long battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 11:00am at Little Forks Lutheran Church, rural Hatton, ND. A visitation will be held from 10:00am until the time of the service at the church.
Wanda Johnson, was born in Inglewood, CA on May 2, 1963. She grew up in North Dakota and California. From 1976-1978, Wanda attended Hatton High School in Hatton, ND. She then moved back to California where she graduated from William Howard Taft High School in Woodland Hills, CA.
Wanda moved to Texas in 1988. She was a long time employee of Maxim Integrated where she held various positions related to Information Technology.
Wanda enjoyed taking care of her many cats and was active in animal rescue programs over the years.
She enjoyed playing cards with friends and visiting the Oklahoma Casinos for a little gambling.
Wanda leaves behind her mother, Virginia Estrada of Carrolton, TX; her father, Orrin Johnson of Hatton, ND; sisters, Victoria Estrada of Austin, TX, and Melissa Johnson of Dallas, TX; brother Richard Johnson of Hillsboro, ND; nephews: Michael Deitch of Austin, TX, Stephen Johnson of Lake Norden, SD and Nathan Johnson of Hillsboro, ND; nieces, Kimberly McRitchie and Nikila McRitchie of Hillsboro, ND;
Wanda will be sorely missed by family and friends.
