Yvonne Anderson

     Yvonne Carol Williams was born June 28, 1937 near Hannaford, ND to Edward and Agnes (Krokom) Williams. She was baptized and confirmed in Eidfjord Lutheran Church, rural Hannaford. She grew up attending rural schools and graduated from Wimbledon High School. After high school, Yvonne worked at the Johnson Store in Cooperstown.

     On June 1, 1958, Yvonne married Clayton Anderson at Eidfjord Lutheran Church, rural Hannaford. They lived in Cooperstown and Lakota before moving to a farm by Golden Lake where they spent almost 50 years. Yvonne worked at Bonita’s Pizza in Hatton and Fettings Frozen Foods in Finley.

     Yvonne was an active member of Beaver Creek Lutheran Church and WELCA.  She enjoyed reading cookbooks and her morning and night devotional book. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, crafts, buying antiques, going to craft shows and shopping while her chauffeur, Clayton, waited patiently for her. Yvonne enjoyed spending time in her sewing room, which had the best light. She also enjoyed watching people drive walk or run by (Madison as she waved). She could also see who would drive up and greet them at the door. Her children and grandchildren were always showered with her wonderful baking, beautiful sewing, and quilts. You never went home empty handed.

     Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Clayton, Portland; They had 4 children: Micheal (Susan) Anderson, Finley, ND; Jay (Shelly) Anderson, Portland; Darrin (Lisa) Anderson, Fargo, ND; Heidi (Jason) Walswick, Finley, ND; grandchildren: Jeremy (Jill) Anderson; Eric (Amber) Anderson and their children: Taylor, Carter, and Teagen; Cody (Megan) Anderson and their children: Ruby and Lydia; Madison Anderson; Jack Walswick; and step-grandchildren: Trevor and Laura Walswick; Yvonne is also survived my numerous nieces and nephews.

     Preceding her in death were her parents and siblings: Dorothy Mae, Everett, Vernon, and Lorraine.
